The Women’s Prize for Nonfiction finalists include Neneh Cherry’s “A Thousand Threads” and Rachel Clarke’s “The Story of a Heart.” Other contenders are Chloe Dalton’s “Raising Hare,” Helen Scales’ “What the Wild Sea Can Be,” Clare Mulley’s “Agent Zo,” and Yuan Yang’s “Private Revolutions.” The prize aims to address gender imbalances in nonfiction publishing. Established last year, it is open to female English-language writers worldwide. The winner will be announced on June 12 in London.
