Panama sends 97 deportees from U.S. to migrant camp : NPR

Panama transferred one-third of deportees from the US to a camp in Darien province due to a lack of voluntary repatriation. These migrants, primarily from Asia, are in limbo as Panama serves as a transit point. Some have agreed to return to their countries, while others remain under police guard in a Panama City hotel. One migrant escaped but was recaptured, and the rest will be housed in a temporary migration facility near the Colombian border until their final destination is determined.
